The Garage Wall

About The Garage Wall

The Garage Wall is a one-person publication about getting stuff off a garage floor: overhead racks, wall track, shelving, pegboard, and the hardware that holds them to the building. I am Chris Y. I moved into a house with a two-car garage that fit exactly zero cars, and it took a year of weekends — and three trips back to the store — before it held both.

Every number on this site is copied from a manufacturer's own published documentation: the product page, the spec sheet, or the installation manual. Where a brand does not publish a figure, the guide says so instead of filling the gap with a guess. Load ratings are quoted the way the manufacturer states them, including the "evenly distributed" language that changes what the number means.

What I do not do: invent lab tests, publish star ratings or review counts I did not collect, or print a price. Retailers change prices hourly; the retailer's page is the only honest source for what something costs today. Guides show a price band instead.

I earn a commission when you buy through a link here — see the affiliate disclosure. No brand pays for placement, sees a guide before publication, or can change a ranking. Corrections are welcome and get made: stackpicksmedia@gmail.com.
