About The Wash Bay

The Wash Bay is an independent car-care guide for people who wash at home: a driveway, a hose, a couple of buckets, and no commercial bay. I am Chris Y., the founder and the person who writes every guide here.

The comparisons on this site are built from things a buyer can check: tank volume in gallons, air flow in CFM, maximum working pressure in PSI, towel weight in GSM, duty cycle in minutes, what the warranty actually covers, and whether you can buy a replacement filter two years from now. Every number in a spec block comes from the manufacturer's own product page, spec sheet or manual — never from a retailer's copy — and the sources are listed at the bottom of each guide.

What you will not find: star scores copied from somewhere else, fake head-to-head tests, prices typed by hand (retailers change them hourly), or a page where every product mentioned is a winner. Each guide names what I rejected and why.
